My Journey Into Researching Skin Cancer

My name is Lojine Elrais, and as a pre-PA student with a clear goal of becoming a dermatological PA, I embarked on a mission to shed light on skin cancer and the nuanced treatment methods not many patients are aware of. This website is a culmination of my research, designed to make complex information comprehensive and accessible for everyone.

Interest in Derm

My passion for dermatology ignited with a personal commitment to understand skin health. The intricacies of skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment fascinate me, driving my ambition to serve as a dermatological PA. I've been surrounded by a wonderful community through two honors conferences where I was able to expand my knowledge on the topic of dermatology through insghtful conversations with people from all over the country. This website is a significant step towards empowering others with the knowledge I've gained on this journey, helping you understand what your doctor might not be telling you.

Dedication to my team - Rigorous research, reliable insights

Throughout my three years of research I had many people I could lean on. My core mission for this website is to transform skin cancer from a daunting topic into one that is understandable and manageable. I believe that informed individuals are empowered individuals. With the help of my team I was able to achieve this goal by creating this platform for education. My hope is that through accessible education, we can collectively reduce the fear and increase proactive engagement with skin health, making skin cancer a less scary topic to gauge.
